New York – Coming Soon

Court Side Wedding
Mark and Kara Johnson couldn’t wait to be husband and wife. When asked why she decided on a courthouse ceremony she stated, “We decided to have a courthouse wedding to keep things simple. We are in love and just wanted to be married! We didn’t want to wait two years for a venue just to be together.” Kara wore a fun and festive short white Sue Wong dress with an ostrich feather and sparkling rhinestone accents. Ornate Badgley Mischka shoes completed the chic outfit. Her five attendants (her sister and four of her closest friends) wore varying pastel colored chiffon J. Crew dresses. The setting for the couple’s ceremony was the Montgomery Court House, the intimate reception took place at the Seasons 52 Bar and Grill.

Film is Alive?
My good friend got married recently and I was blessed to be part of the wedding party. It was my first. And for the first time, I experienced the behind-scene of a wedding without being a photographer.
The images below were taken with a Mamiya 645E. This camera basically tagged with me throughout the 22-hr day.
Why? Film has a unique quality to it. It has an organic and natural look that will never go away. I don’t think shooting film will make a comeback but the joy and the experience of shooting in analog is just priceless. The choice of going digital was made for us whether we wanted to or not.
Film is Art.

Feeling The Chicago Blues
Southern Charm Wedding
A picturesque venue + custom Lazaro dress + dazzling cake + sexy navy blue shoes = a recipe for a perfect wedding.
Mary and Akin’s wedding union was at the scenic Legare Waring House in Charleston, South Carolina. The temperature was a mild 70 degrees, a perfect day for shooting a wedding. Well, except for the sudden rain showers that are so common to the Southeast. The details are what made this wedding so memorable, from the embroidered handkerchief tied to each bridesmaids’ bouquet to the intricate pearl details on the wedding cake. I was held captive by the true Southern charm of the historic venue. The Spanish moss on the trees and the huge plantation house were captivating
After the ceremony, the couple and I explored the lush landscape of the venue. I captured amazing shots with Mary and Akin among the huge trees.

The reception was a festive celebration under a huge tent. The iridescent purple and pewter linen added to the elegance of the day. The masterpiece of a wedding cake was covered in white fondant with hand created pearlized details to resemble the intricate detail on Mary’s custom gown. It was grand! Sophisticated. . . Glamorous . . .
